2006 Schramm Model T130XD / Reconditioned and Ready to Drill
Unit Engine ‐ MTU 12V‐2000TA DDEC, 760 bhp (567 kw) @ 1,800 rpm
Hydraulic System ‐ Eight hydraulic pumps, three fixed displacement type and five variable
volume piston type, provide hydraulic power for all rig functions. All hydraulic circuits are fully
filtered, protected by relief valves and include an oil cooler. Shutoff valves are provided at each
tank suction outlet for ease of service.
Tophead 2 Motor High Capacity (4") Tilt:
A heavy duty single reduction (3.5:1) top head design for high torque and large diameter drilling
applications. Unit is fitted with two hydraulic motors. Motor displacement and performance
must be specified. The top head hydraulically tilts to aid pipe and casing handling. Tophead
swivel includes a 3" diameter access port to allow sampling equipment to be run through the
rotation unit. Includes hydraulic lock pins to retain top head in the drilling position.
Special pins are mounted to the top head trunnion mounting bars which allow the use of
elevator links for lifting heavy strings of casing with the hoist system.

Rotation Torque Limiter ‐ Control panel mounted valve to regulate hydraulic pressure to the
rotation motors.
Mast Tilt ‐ The two mast tilt cylinders are cushioned.

Cooling System ‐ Three core, side by side package, 130°F (54.4°C) ambient rating, with 60"
hydraulically driven fan.
Control Panel ‐ Located on the left hand side, the swing out style control panel stores under the
mast for transport and includes full instrumentation and fold‐up operator's and helper's
platforms. A valve section is included for operation of a customer supplied BOP.
Tool Box ‐ A lockable tool box is located on the right hand side of the rig. Capacity ‐ 9 cu ft (.25
cu m).
Electrical System ‐ 24V DC, 140 amp alternator, two 12V batteries, mast and work lights, circuit
breakers.
1,500 psi Fluid Line Plumbing: Airline plumbing rated to 1,500 psi (103 bar). Includes 3" ID (76.2
mm) plumbing.
Telemast, 50' Travel (With a floating sub installed, is 50’ clearence between the end of the sub
and the top of the table) Telescoping construction permits long head travel and working height,
yet short overall length in the transport position. Equipped with a 32"
(813 mm) cylinder operated slide, the mast is free‐standing, all pullback loads are directed into
the ground, not the rig frame. Hydraulically operated mast feet offer adjustability to work over
top of diverters or protection equipment. Mast feet offer 41" (1.04 m) of stroke and are
equipped with mechanical locking devices. Mast base height is adjustable to 54" with wheels
on the ground. Outriggers can increase clearance by an additional 41" offering up to 95" of
possible working room below the table.
Feed System ‐ The top head is raised and lowered by hydraulic traverse cylinders through special
wire rope and large diameter Nylatron sheaves.
As the tophead is raised, the inner mast section extends by a ratio of 1:2 until it reaches its fully
extended position at 50’ of clear head travel.

Locking mechanism to prevent top head gearbox from rotating during downhole directional
drilling operations. Reduces spindle to table clearance by 4". Total spindle to table clearnace is
48' 6". For 3" ID
Tophead Brake torque resistance: 6,666 ft/lbs
Slow Feed Drill‐Up Valve Permits regulated pressure control of slow feed circuit when hoisting.
