9' x 5' Canadian Ingersoll-Rand Over Under Wind Hoist
- Two drums on shaft one against another, one for Counter Weight, the other for the Skip or Cage
- Two brake paths on either side of the hoist drum. Post Drum type caliper brakes
- Bearings are babbitt on the Main shaft, roller bearings on pinion
- Bull gear, Pinion are in near new condition, upgraded when installed
- Drive: 500 Hp DC General Electric Drive w General Electric Thyristor package. Electrics 1988
- Brakes: Two parallel post drum style brakes. High pressure hydraulics with double pump hydraulic power pack. Brakes upgraded when installed
- Speed: Variable up to 980 FPM at 1200FPM
- Gears: Gear on shaft with pinion mounted separately. Gear in good condition
- Line Pull: 18,000 Lbs at 980 FPM, 16,000 unbalanced load at 1100 FPM(Rim Pull) 29,000 Lbs line pull in counter
- Cable:1 3/8” Wire Core
- Flange on Rope Casset: 8” Deep
- Grooving: Spiral type
- Controls: Knee hole console and equipped with model D Logan Controller and a Series 6 GE PLC. Was equipped for automatic and manual operation
- Hoist is in excellent condition. Can be operated in fully automatic or partially automatic mode
- Counter weight portion of drum is 46" x 60". Counterweight is not necessary.
- History: Previously set up at the Asamera Mine in Wenachee Washington where it hoisted from a depth of 1,600 feet. The Hoist was equipped with a 6 Ton capacity Jetto skip on one drum and a 7 ton counterweight on the other drum. Mine operated 6 years and was shut down in 1998.
