Description
MT6520 Asphalt / Pavers / Concrete Equipment, 1991 Ingersoll Rand 6520...78" cutter head milling machine...... Powered by 400 hp 8V71 TT....... approx. 2800 original hours....... equipped with quick change Keystone EZ 3 drum....... both internal water spray (from inside the drum) as well as external spray bar...new water pump and lines, nozzles etc., water tank blasted and cleaned down to the epoxy...... all hydraulic hoses checked and replaced as needed....... hydraulic systems flow and pressure checked........ all conveyor components replaced, as well as conveyor boom structure rebuilt....... track trunnion brackets repinned and rebushed...... Topcon V grade and slope added to machine....... new heavy duty grade skis added..... drum planetary rebuilt...... track planetaries checked for leaks and vibration, and repaired as necessary........ Cutter drive belts and engine belts replaced....... Almost all components on this machine are "off the shelf" at industrial hardware stores, so parts support is not an issue....... These machines were designed that way so they could work in remote areas of the world and have ready access to parts almost anywhere.......Because of the addition of this quick change drum (triple wrap) and the Topcon grade system, this unit is in fact a better machine than it was when new, and will cut smoother, faster and more precisely than the original unit could from the factory.......... In fact 95% of the time when hitting manholes, all you will do is break teeth instead of breaking holders due to the design of the flighting and cutter blocks...so much less down time is seen........Unit was purchased to do final grade trimming of less than 1" on an RCC airport job in the islands (only where paved grade exceeded spec), and has seen less than 100 hours total use since purchased in June of 2010...... Unit was purchased due to the ability to ensure uniform cutting surface across the face of the drum, due to the precision of the EZ3 cutter system (holder inserts can be replaced with a turn of the wrench to ensure that cutter tip height is constant around the drum, because holder position is fixed back to original height at all times with new inserts.).....Location Turkes and Cacos........
