Sandvik DS420-C is capable of installing up to 25 meters long cement grouted cable bolts. The rig has all equipment for drilling, grouting and steel strand feeding. The rod handling system has a capacity for 19 pieces of 1 ¼” rods. The material used in cable bolting is normally 15.2mm diameter steel strand or bulb anchor with a breaking strength of 25 tons and cable is grouted with cement. Capacity of steel strand reel is 800m. The new layout has been designed to give a good visibility and balance. This and the powerful four wheel driven centre-articulated carrier ensure the fast and safe tramming. The unit is based on a proven jumbo carrier for high mobility. Operator comfort is achieved by enclosed electric controls.
