Caterpillar D6C

Up for sale is the legendary Caterpillar D6 This machine is ready to work and will work until you are ready to go home. The engine runs strong as is expected of the 3306 engine family. This 3306 engine is still one of the workhouse engines in the Cat lineup. This engine runs strong and doesn't use crankcase oil which would indicate signs of a weak piston rings. The undercarriage is the Sealed and Lubricated Track system from Caterpillar. This is commonly referred to as the SALT Tracks. The pictures show the pins and rollers have a great deal of life left. The pictures of the cogs also show squared looking drive sprockets which also indicate many hours left for heavy pushing. Lastly, the picture of the dollar bill next to the track grousers show that the cleats have been brought to factory original specs. These tall grousers are able to put the power of this machine to the ground.
