Description
This 4-71 Detroit Diesel 60 KW generator was used for emergency power at a communications location. Additional equipment was added to the location & this generator became undersized for the location so it was removed & replaced by a larger unit. This unit was installed brand new and has been meticulously maintained throughout the years. This unit was run tested on a monthly basis since it's initial installation. I would have to guess that the large majority of hours on this unit come from the years of maintenance testing. I am not a diesel mechanic & don't know the exact specs for this unit, but based on the tags, model numbers & serial numbers, you should be able to find what you need. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The gen set comes with the items shown in the pics ( exhaust pipe section & 4 vibration isolating mounts.) Unit tips the scales at a whopping 7,500 pounds. It has had many items replaced during upgrades over the years, pretty much anything not painted aspen green is a part that has been replaced/upgraded. This power making piece of machinery was built to last a lifetime. As far as shipping is concerned, I prefer that the buyer arranges pickup & shipping ( it will take a crane rated at 10,000 pounds or more to load). This unit is located in UT & depending on total distance, I would consider delivering it to your location for a flat per mile cost plus any additional time it may take to offload at your location. Please contact me directly for delivery option. It will take a crane to offload at your location, so keep that in mind. Please note * * If you plan to pick this unit up in person or have a delivery company picking it up and don't have a way to load it on a trailer, I can hire a local diesel mechanic to load onto your trailer. Should take about 30 mins to load, but they charge an hour minimum. If you want to go this route, let me know in advance so I can have them lined up. Hourly charge for diesel mechanic to load including trip surcharge is $185. You can pay that amount extra to me, and I will pay them, or you can pay the mechanic directly on the day of pick up. $5950, 4356226465
